@ the beach

Whiee, found an unsecure wireless connection :P

Time to update my blog a bit, in the sun, at the beach ;) So far many things have happend, started working in my appartment, discoverd the youghthouse in my new neighbourhoud and damn a cute lady goes there, but she knows hehe.

On the geek side of life i’ve been playing the beta of WoW Wrath of the Lich King a bit, is fun, but will be more fun once everyone will be playing it, just about exploring now, reporting bugs, not sure if i’ll level my char to 80, just a hastle to get it to 80 again once it’s officialy released :)

Starting 1st of september i’ll be taking a 14 day “vacation”, working in my appartment, tearing everything appart and making it a whole lot better. Think this sould do for a minor update, time to go enjoy the sun while it’s out :D

10 days Ghent Festivities

Doesn’t sound so good as Gentsch Fieste but hey, got to compensate my overseas friends :)

It’s that time of the year again, full streets, booze, music and a great atmosphere. Something you just can’t skip as a true citizen of Ghent! Each day i’m down there i’m taking pictures witch you’ll find in the gallery, have fun, be safe and lets party :D

Contract Signed!

Couple of hours ago i signed the contract to buy myself an apartment, from today on i got me own place to stay at :D In some way that is, still needs some work done (some huge changes) but at least it’s all settled now!
First thing to come will be a small get together to see it out and inside, later on a nice housewarming party ;)

Think Geek

The word geek is a slang term, noting individuals as “a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, gaming, etc.”

I did the test and here’s the result :P

32% Geek

Not to bad if you ask me ;)

MCDST, say again?

After having fun all weekend i got to start the week with a Microsoft course in Bruges, more in specific the  Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician training or in short MCDST :)
This will be the first 4 days out of 9 i think, 4 days of Windows Xp, 2 days Vista basic and 3 days Vista advanced, after the course we get a chance to do the exam and actually get the Certificate from Microsoft. We don’t need to do it but then again, why not do it ;)

Sunday @ Carré

As i had a fun time in Paris this weekend, I had to end it with a *boom* and a boom it was. At first I was planning on staying at home, but Stefanie got to convince me once again and so we went to the Carré with a couple of friends. It was fun, we had a good time and it tasts like more, more and more :D

Pictures to be seen in the gallery 8)

Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 Paris

As i didn’t got a chance to write a post yesterday (went out in Paris and my battery of my camera was out) i’m making one right now, with what i thought to be some highlights of the two days i’ve been there :)

So where to start, might say that it was a fun weekend, surrounded by many geeks though, and i’m nowhere near them guys :P , anyway, we stood in  freaking long line to get in, got there around 8.20 and we eventually arrived at the entrance around 9.10 witch wasn’t to bad seeing them getting in line that arrived the time i got in.

Once in we checked out the different things there was to see to eventually watch the opening ceremony with the announcement of Diablo III witch looks cool, but i’m more of a WoW man so didn’t really care what was going to be announced hehe

After that we watch some Warcraft 3 tournaments, i must say, them guys are nuts … seeing how fast they moved their fingers was beyond, well, nuts. Got to see Nihilium making an attempt to kill Kill’Jaden but without any luck, but hey, can’t have it all can we :)

The followup was cool, first some Q&A about WoW followed by the costume- and dance-contest witch were kinda cool to watch, well a better word would be amusing ;)

That being the end of the first day we went for a drink and off to bed around 5am, the single drink took a turn and became a night of beer, beer and beer :P Today was a bit of a disappointment as it was all day tournements and some panels, but not really worth staying for, there would have been a closing ceremony and the L70ETC concert, but i’ve did what i wanted to do.

I’ve also uploaded some of the pictures i took, so enjoy :)

Hope you enjoy my wrapup of the “two” days, over and out ;)

Wandering around in Paris

10pm, cool breeze coming trough the window, been a good day so far, we went to see the Louvre, walked trough le jardin des tuileries and finally we went to the top of le Tour Eiffel 8)

Were we also made a stop, first and last stop actually, was at the expo itself were it’s all gonna happen tomorrow. I’ve only put pictures of that in  the Gallery as none will care about pictures of me in Paris anyway ;)

Paris here we are!

After a swift trip of 3 hours and stressy times on the phéréphéric in Paris we’ve finally arrived in our hotel!
We’re a block away from the expo and there’s signs of the WWI everywhere, now it’s time to eat, drink and explore Paris a bit. After that it’s focusing on the convention a 100% ;)

A bientot :D

Blizzard WWI Paris

Blizzard Worldwide Invitational Blizzard’s Worldwide Invitational is coming closer, in 2 days i’ll be slacking trough the streets of Paris towards a convention i always wanted to go to. Why? you may ask yourself, dunno, just seems cool :D

As Stefanie pointed out, i might be a geek, well so be it, i’m a geek and that weekend i might just act as one, but once i’m back, i’ll be the partyguy you remember ;)
Some might wonder, why the hell is he writing in english, well i’ve told some friends i’ll be posting some stuff here what’s happening over in Paris this weekend and since most of them are english it would be rude to write it all down in dutch don’t ya think. Two days … then i can’t deny anymore that i’m a geek … *sigh*
